NewsAll coaches and managers please be advised vTeam is now operational for all coaches and managers. vTeam is our messaging system which enables you to quickly and easily message your individual team members. Please access the above website address and your user name will be your FFA number if you have already registered, if not your username will be your christian name and surname with a full stop in between ie John Smith is john.smith. A password should have already been forwarded to you however if not simply request a new/forgotten password on the first screen then follow the prompts.
Managers, owing to data errors in the transfer of data between the FFA registration system and the vTeam system you will need to log into your individual teams and edit individual players details ie mobile phone contacts, email etc to ensure your team can be correctly messaged.
If you are unable to access the system please contact Ian Macey on 0422 317 656 and we will attempt to rectify any issue.
Dear All,

Hi my name is Peter and I have just taken over as canteen manager and I am looking for people who can help out.
At the moment myself and Kylie (canteen assistant) run the canteen on Saturdays, with the help of the teams that are roster on for that day. When all teams turn up this works well.
Kylie and myself both have kids who play for the club. There are times when they play at the same time, and like most parents we also like to see them play.
So if your someone who can help no matter if it's just a few hours here or there please contact myself on 0412 108 465 or next time your down at the field please come in and say hello.
Many thanks
Peter Dakis

On behalf of the club, congratulations to all KDSC teams that participated in our annual preseason shield trials versus Broadmeadow on Sunday, 25th March 2012. We appreciate your efforts to organise your teams to get to Newcastle for your respective games. There were some high class, evenly contested games and there was plenty of fine football on display.
Well done to Broadmeadow who retained the shield, and from what was displayed, it looks like another promising year for Killarney District Soccer Club.
Bring on 2012.
There will be a meeting held at the KDSC clubhouse EDSACC North Tuesday the 27th at 7pm. Team representatives for the AA4, AA5 & AA6 and all of the players from AA3 are required to attend.

This is an important reminder as we are nearing the finals regarding photography at grounds
The Cameras start to appear to film the next Harry Kewell. Please be aware there are strict rules associated with Cameras at sporting fields. There are many kids out there who cannot be filmed for various reasons- some serious security reasons. Teams need to do the following with regards to photos: 1. All teams taking photos need to inform the official table via the team manager. 2. All teams need to inform the official table if they have an issue with photo’s/filming. I know it is difficult with so many people at the ground however if all Coaches and Managers are aware of this policy then they should be able to look after their own team and ensure that permission is given by the table. We will have also have an official CCF photographer doing the rounds in the next few weeks. He will approach the Official table first to check if there are any teams with concerns. This will also be the case at Pluim Park for finals. Please email myself if you think any CCF photos have been taken of a team with concerns to ensure we do not publish the photos. Please ensure all teams are aware of their responsibility with regards to photos. It would be awful to jeopardise the safety of a child for the sake of a photo. Please distribute to all necessary parties in your club.
Kind Regards,
Sally McGarn Competitions Administrator

Dear All
Please read the message below from council regarding use of the sportsgrounds:
A number of incidents have occurred, over recent weeks, at various sportsgrounds across Wyong Shire in relation to informal use of sportsgrounds when sportsgrounds are closed.
Council understands that these activities are often not endorsed or organised by clubs or associations and are often simply informal games by children in the local area.
Council is seeking your assistance in communicating a message to all your members in relation to use of any sportsground for informal use.
The inappropriate use of sports grounds, by the community, (without club/association knowledge), in wet conditions, threatens the viability of those sportsgrounds for weekend sport.
Use of this nature causes conflict between codes and often leads to negative interactions and a lack of co operation between clubs of various codes.
This type of use and any subsequent repairs that are required, causes financial stress on Council and reduces our ability to undertake repairs to all grounds.
Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Kelli Fletcher
Sports Liaison Officer

As your first port of call please check the ground status of all weekend games on the CCF website www.ccfootball.com.au . This is the first and primary update of the ground status and we will attempt to update our own website to reflect the same update information.
Recently a Football training facility was opened at Adelaide Street Tumbi Umbi.
The facility has synthetic turf which is specifically designed for football with players able to wear football boots with studs whilst training.
The fields are outdoor, floodlit and remain open when turf fields are closed. Goals are erected on the fields.
There is an undercover area for parents.
They have available an open area of approximately 1500 square metres which can be divided into three smaller fields.
Cost to hire the area:
Entire area - $100 per hour.
One of the three smaller fields $40 per hour.

Ladies and Gents,
As a result of a issues arising over the last few rounds involving team officials and referees (both official and club cadets) it is time for a friendly reminder in relation to appropriate behaviour and club expectations. There has been a number of incidents lately across the coast where parents, coaches or managers have approached referees after matches to 'discuss' the game including some decisions made by those officials. Unfortunately our teams have been identified as being involved in more than one of these incidents.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will coaches, managers or parents approach a referee be it an official black and white ref or a club cadet ref for any reason other to shake their hand and thank them for their services. If you have an issue or feel agrieved in any way, by all means address it, but do it correctly and via the correct means. If you have any issue approach the official table at the respective venues and discuss them calmly and politely with the duty official. If after doing this you are still dissatisfied with the response then you should contact your respective age manager and raise the issue with them. KDSC has a very strict policy in respect to coach and managers behaviour which clearly outlines both accepted and unacceptable behaviours, and the club expects that each and every person representing it complies with that code. This applies equally to parents who have also signed a code of expected behaviours, whilst coaching/managing you have responsibilities to ensure that our parents conduct themselves appropriately, if you identify a parent who is not conducting themselves appropriately then you have an obligation to address that issue, either yourself or the official table or if need be via the football managers. In relation to cadet referees please remember they are juniors themselves and are learning just as the players are learning, it is totally unacceptable for an adult to approach a cadet and argue with them, to the point where that child ends up in tears. It will not be tolerated by the club and may even constitute a breach of both CCF & FFA child protection policies. Please be mindful that when you are coaching/managing your are a representative of this club and all that it stands for, ultimately it is about kids playing sport and enjoying themselves not merely about winning and losing.
Regards Ian Macey Junior Football Manager
KDSC introduced and held it's own soccer holiday clinic during the school holiday break which ran over four days and was hosted by two of the Mariners well respected and talented players, Brad Porter & Josh Rose.
Over 50 kids were in attendance ranging in all ages and they all got put through their paces with the various drills, small games and other physical challenges.
This was a highly successful event receiving high praise and very positive feedback from the players and members in attendance.
We appreciate Brad and Josh for their time and support and we hope to build on these types of events as a regular occurrence in the future.
Please keep it mind for the future as it is great value and a great way to hone your child's skills as well as keeping them occupied during the holidays.
A special thanks must go to our Club Football Manager, Peter Preston, who put this together. Well Done !
KDSC would like to thank Century 21 Coast Property for their recent donation of $1000 to the club. This is through the great promotion led by Ross Hampton, where Century 21 are donating $500 for every property sold by any KDSC member.
On top of this, Ross and the Century 21 team have provided great support to the club in 2010 through providing training strips to the U10 boys and U12 Girls.
Click on the Century 21 logo on the club website to get all the details.
Hi everyone,
Just a reminder to all Coaches and Managers, parents, relatives, supporters and players.
There should be NO CONSUMPTION of alcohol, while their are juniors present, at any sports ground including our own whether it be Training or on game day.
It is not accepted and there is always the potential of injury when glass is in the vicinity.
We appreciate if you could adhere to this Football NSW policy to ensure everyone remains safe and healthy!
"Football NSW does not endorse the illegal sale or supply of alcohol and does not sanction any activity involving alcohol where junior sport is involved."
Please refer to the follow strict Football NSW memorandum referring to foul and abusive language.
Please ensure you abide to these rules.
Please ensure you SMS/email your game result immediately after your game to the fixtures mobile 0468 896 655.
Dear Coaches and Managers,
I have created a very brief document on how to use this vteam free SMS service along with instructions created by the developer.
Just go to: http://ccmariners.vteam.com.au/ and then follow the instructions as per the attachments.
Please email me if you have any queries on this service at antmarnie@iprimus.com.au . If they are beyond my scope I will forward these to the developer, Les Hornery who can respond on my behalf.
